About pluralism

Share

Not mentioned in your article on journalists and religion (“Journalists’ Skepticism Hinders Religion Coverage,” Feb. 23) is that one of the most important tools for a writer is being creative and seeing various elements and synthesizing them all. This is precisely the opposite of what is required of a believer who accepts dogma as stated by an established religion. Journalism is thoroughly about democracy and pluralism, while religion is about supporting a particular point of view.
