From Bloomberg News

General Motors Corp. said it may sell its commercial mortgage finance unit, the largest in the U.S., as part of a plan to exit businesses that don’t relate directly to cars and trucks.

The unit, GMAC Commercial Holding Corp., has $12 billion in assets and earned $225 million last year.

General Motors is considering selling units in part to raise cash for its employee benefits plans.
