* Salon Media Group Inc. said it raised $800,000, enough to keep the company out of the dot-com graveyard. Investment banker Bill Hambrecht and Adobe Systems Inc. founder John Warnock provided the financial reprieve.
* Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu said it was abandoning plans to spin off its consulting arm after the unit’s management was unable to get adequate financing for the deal.
* Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. said its fourth-quarter loss widened to $122.1 million, or $1.74 a share, from $72.7 million, or $1.52, a year earlier. Revenue was $685,000. The company had no revenue a year earlier.
