From Times Wire Reports

A Hollywood producer has donated 173 acres of land worth nearly $1 million to be preserved as part of a fledgling state park south of Redlands.

Gale Anne Hurd, who produced and co-wrote “The Terminator” with film director James Cameron -- whom she later married and divorced -- and produced such films as “Aliens,” “Armageddon” and the upcoming “The Hulk,” said she donated the land because of her personal connection to nature.

Hurd’s family bought the land in San Timoteo Canyon in the 1960s. Two other donors, Ernest Clark Jr. and his sister, Cynthia Clark Mitchel, gave 380 acres.
