Journalists Claim Poor Treatment by GIs in Iraq

From Times Wire Reports

Two Israeli journalists expelled from Iraq by the U.S. military said American troops mistreated them during 72 hours of detention, denying them food and water and making them stand overnight in the cold.

Dan Scemama of Israel TV's Channel One said one of two Portuguese journalists traveling with them was beaten and all four were accused of being spies.

A Pentagon spokesman said there was no indication of mistreatment.
