One Reality, Hold the TV

Share

“Give ‘em a Taste of Reality” (editorial, April 27) hit the nail on the head by adroitly pinpointing the obvious fact that any group can be ridiculed and that television’s current obsession with making fun of people is counterproductive. I regard this unrelenting assault on the idea of being human as detrimental to the well-being of society as a whole and an attack on the moral fabric of the nation. But I took a significant step to deal with the problem by having the cable disconnected and the TV sets removed from the premises. There is life after television, and it is a much better place!
