Residents Are Singing the Rainy Days Blues
From Staff and Wire Reports
Rain, rain, go away.
They’re singing that song in Eureka, where the city has broken a 107-year-old rainfall record.
Total rainfall in April hit 11.25 inches -- a few drops more than the April 1896 mark of 11.13 inches.
The record is nearly four times the city’s average April rainfall of 2.88 inches, and it comes just a few months after December 2002 became the city’s soggiest month ever.
