From Times Wire Reports

Rejecting a government compromise, a federal judge again ruled that terror suspect Zacarias Moussaoui needs to directly interview a senior Al Qaeda prisoner to prepare his defense.

The ruling virtually ensures that a U.S. appeals court will hear arguments June 3 on his right to question an enemy combatant via video hookup.

Prosecutors reportedly offered summaries of the witness’ statements, but the judge ruled this was inadequate to protect the defendant’s right to potentially favorable information.
