Re “Air Show Paying Price for France’s War Stance,” May 21: Why the continuing animosity toward our two friends, the French and Germans? They wouldn’t join our invasion of Iraq because they said the evidence given for the invasion’s justification (Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction) was found lacking, a conclusion shared by virtually everybody who looked critically at the pathetically transparent case made by the Bush administration. And, predictably, none were found. So they were right. Now we hold that against them? This is how alcoholics behave.
