Trick-or-Treater Bags Class Ring

You’d expect to find candy bars and maybe a quarter or two in your youngster’s Halloween trick-or-treat bag -- but a high school class ring?

Shivan Singh found that extra-special treat in his bag: a 1983 Monterey High School ring.

Shivan, 9, went trick-or-treating with friends in Seaside. When he opened his bag at home, he found Don Quigley’s class ring inside.

Shivan’s mother, Rina Singh, said there was no question the ring would be returned.

Quigley’s name was engraved inside the ring, and he was listed in the telephone book.
