Needs of the Homeless

Re “Problem of Homelessness Extends Beyond Downtown,” Nov. 14: It’s not just about housing anymore. As part of earning my undergraduate degree in 1989 I wrote a paper on homelessness in Los Angeles County that included the suggestion, along with a general plan, to have colleges and universities use their various disciplines and provide not only housing but employment training, psychological care, family and medical services. It’s never been just about housing.
