Ship-Bound Turkish Sailors Return Home
From Times Wire Reports
Eight Turkish sailors, marooned aboard their ship in waters off Philadelphia since June 6 because they had no visas, have returned home after whiling away the months by playing ping-pong or exploring local delicacies such as cheese steak sandwiches, a sailor advocate said.
The sailors flew home to Turkey after being holed up in the 550-foot-long bulk carrier Ahmetbey, which had been held in the Delaware River.
