Gas Exports Possible, Indian Leader Says

A key Bolivian opposition leader said a plan to export natural gas, the spark behind a recent uprising that toppled President Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada, could be revived -- but only under full Bolivian control.
Evo Morales, a leader of Indian coca farmers, said Bolivia needs to recover control over the gas before exporting it -- a reference to a government contract with a Spanish-British consortium, Pacific LNG.
