U.S. Soldier Dies After Combat in South
From Times Wire Reports
A U.S. Special Forces soldier died of wounds he suffered during fighting in southern Afghanistan, American military sources said. Troops patrolling with Afghan militiamen engaged between 10 and 15 hostile fighters about 35 miles west of Deh Rawood, the U.S.-led coalition said from Bagram air base, north of Kabul. One enemy fighter was killed, military authorities said.
