Biocontainment Lab Fails to Get U.S. Funds

UC Davis’ proposal for a new biocontainment laboratory was hit with a major setback this week when federal officials did not award the university funding for part of the center.
UC Davis was not among the eight institutions the Department of Health and Human Services named Thursday to get a five-year Regional Centers of Excellence research grant.
