Prisoner Charged With Killing Defrocked Priest
From Times Wire Reports
A prisoner serving a life sentence for murdering a gay man has been charged with killing the pedophile former priest at the heart of a clergy sexual abuse scandal in the Roman Catholic Church, prosecutors said.
A grand jury in Worcester County indicted Joseph Druce, 38, in the Aug. 23 murder of John J. Geoghan, a 68-year-old defrocked priest who was serving a prison sentence for fondling a boy. About 150 people had accused Geoghan of abusing them.
