Lawyer Says Suspect Denies Killing Official
From Times Wire Reports
The man arrested by Swedish police in connection with last week’s killing of Foreign Minister Anna Lindh denied carrying out the attack, his lawyer said.
Lindh was stabbed Sept. 10 while shopping without bodyguards in a central Stockholm department store. She died the next day.
The slaying rekindled memories of the unsolved assassination of Prime Minister Olof Palme in 1986.
