Palestine Liberation Front Elects New Leader

The Palestine Liberation Front elected a leader to succeed Abul Abbas, mastermind of the 1985 hijacking of the Achille Lauro who died in U.S. military custody in Iraq last month.
The group, a splinter group of the Palestine Liberation Organization, issued a statement saying its central committee elected Omar Shibli, also known as Abu Ahmed Halab.
