KKR Says It Will Acquire Dynamit Nobel

Buyout firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. agreed to acquire most of MG Technologies’ Dynamit Nobel for $2.7 billion to more than double the sales of its chemicals business.

KKR will combine the four Dynamit units that it’s purchasing with Rockwood Specialties Group Inc. of Princeton, N.J., to create a company with more than $2.3 billion of annual revenue and 10,000 employees, the company said.
