Rejection of ad was ‘chilling’

Re “Church Complains About CBS and NBC Rejecting Ad” (Dec. 2): CBS’ citing “the executive branch” proposing a constitutional ban on gay marriage was not only a non sequitur (since gay marriage was never mentioned in the ad), but chilling as well. Since when does one party’s proposal for a law merit a ban on public discussion? My wife and I want our children to learn and practice tolerance for others. It’s the hate and violence so freely distributed by the media that we want them to avoid.
