Opposition Takes Campaign on the Road
From Times Wire Reports
Supporters of opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko piled into cars and buses for a 10-day campaign tour to spread their message beyond the capital, targeting eastern provinces largely hostile to their candidate.
Sounding sirens and flying orange campaign flags, more than 150 Yushchenko supporters left Kiev, hoping to win over voters in areas where support for Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich is strong.
The two candidates will face off in a Dec. 26 rematch, ordered after the Supreme Court annulled a Nov. 21 runoff.
