From Times Wire Reports

President Hamid Karzai swore in most of his new Cabinet, promising that its 27 members would work for the entire country and that he would move swiftly against anyone who didn’t pull his own weight.

The U.S.-backed leader also expressed support for the creation of an opposition party headed by his chief rival in the October election, saying a dissenting voice would be good for the country.

Twenty-five of the ministers took the oath from Karzai; two others were not present and will be sworn in later. Karzai has promised to bring more professionalism to his government.
