Eternal sunshine in the hills
Mark Ruffalo, who costarred this year with Jennifer Garner in the comedy film “13 Going on 30,” and his wife, actress Sunrise Coigney, have purchased a Hollywood Hills home for just under $1.7 million.
The gated estate has three bedrooms and four bathrooms plus a detached guest quarters in about 3,000 square feet. The Connecticut farmhouse-style home was built in 1933 but was restored recently.
It’s on almost an acre and has canyon and city views. The living room has a large fireplace and beamed ceiling. The home also has a breakfast room.
This has been a busy year on the big screen for Ruffalo, 37. He played a cop in the thriller “Collateral,” starring Tom Cruise, and he played a nerdy lab technician in “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.” He also costarred with Naomi Watts and Laura Dern in “We Don’t Live Here Anymore,” screened at Sundance.
Last year, Ruffalo costarred with Meg Ryan in the thriller “In the Cut.” Coigney also appeared in the movie.
Brenda Jo Winchell of Re/Max on the Boulevard, Sherman Oaks, had the listing, and Sharona Alpern at Sotheby’s in Beverly Hills represented the buyers.

Ex-Brady to leave L.A. for New York
Barry Williams, who played Greg -- the oldest brother on “The Brady Bunch” -- and his wife, Eila, are moving to Manhattan and have put their Bel-Air home on the market at $4.25 million.
The Mediterranean-style house, which was built in 1975, has four bedrooms and five bathrooms in 4,200 square feet. The home also has a spa and an infinity pool. There are views overlooking downtown Los Angeles and Stone Canyon Reservoir.
Williams, 50, is an icon of the ‘70s. After “The Brady Bunch” ended in 1974, he took up musical theater and landed successful roles in such shows as “Oklahoma,” “Pippin” and “Grease.” He also appeared on TV, most recently on the MTV series “S Club 7 in Hollywood” (2001) and the Brady Bunch reunion shows. He also hosted “The Barry Williams Show” on Sirius Satellite Radio’s Totally ‘70s channel.

‘Baywatch’ actor seeks bigger digs
Former “Baywatch” star Michael Bergin has listed his Spanish villa in Sherman Oaks at $1,050,000.
The villa, built in 1928, has five bedrooms and three bathrooms in 3,000 square feet. The gated property also has a courtyard, archways, hand-glazed walls and wood floors.
The actor, 35, married Joy Tilk, a movie makeup artist, in October, and they want to move to a larger house. Bergin also wrote an autobiography, published in March, titled “The Other Man: A Love Story -- John F. Kennedy Jr., Carolyn Bessette & Me.” Bergin was a Calvin Klein model when Bessette was the company’s publicist.

Home of soap actress is sold
The Hollywood Hills home of the late actress Anna Lee and her husband, the late writer Robert Nathan, has been sold for about its asking price of just under $1.8 million.
The Country English-style home, which hadn’t been on the market for about 33 years, has three bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms plus a detached guesthouse. The home was built in 1925.
Anna Lee died in May at 91.
A British actress, she became known in films during the 1930s. She played Sister Margaretta in the movie “The Sound of Music” (1965), but her greatest fame came as matriarch Lila Quartermaine on the ABC daytime drama “General Hospital.”
Nathan, a novelist and a playwright as well as a poet, died in 1985 at 91.
Their son, Jeffrey Byron, is developing Nathan’s books into feature films. One of his most well-known novels was “Portrait of Jennie” (1940).

New look, listing for Axelrod home
The home of the late George Axelrod, who wrote the play “The Seven Year Itch” and the screenplays for “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” (1961) and “The Manchurian Candidate” (1962), has been refurbished and listed at just under $4 million.
The contemporary Mediterranean-style home, in the Sunset Strip area, has five bedrooms and five bathrooms in about 4,000 square feet. It also has a media room, an elevator and walls of glass. There is a top deck with an outdoor kitchen.
Axelrod died in 2003 at 81.
Michael Eisenberg, at Coldwell Banker, Beverly Hills South, has the listing and represented the development team that purchased the home from the Axelrod estate. Eisenberg also helped in the redesign.
