When Sex Pistol John Lydon described an audience of up to 12 million people with a double obscenity on live British television Tuesday night, it merited only 98 complaints. Lydon made the exclamation as he was trying to get voted off ITV’s popular “I’m a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!’” and added that he wanted to be voted off by the viewers so he could “go trucking in the country.” ITV later apologized for the outburst and said the station would delay future broadcasts to edit out any offensive language.
