Where the film crowd can watch its movies
One thing Arnold Rifkin wanted at his ocean-view Pacific Palisades home was a screening room to wow his guests, who have included some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
The former William Morris film executive got what he wanted in a private screening room with two 35-millimeter projectors and two levels of seating for at least a dozen viewers. It has padded walls, a curtain that electronically opens in front of the screen, an elaborate sound system and numerous speakers around the room. There is even film-editing capability.
On the lower level of one of the two guesthouses, the screening room has its own entrance, kitchenette and bathroom. It’s almost like going out to the movies.
