She said “No More Drama,” but Mary J. Blige is about to make her theatrical debut.
From Feb. 24 through 29, the R&B; singer will star in “The Exonerated,” a critically acclaimed off-Broadway play based on the true stories of six innocent prisoners who survived years on death row.
Blige joins a host of women who have stepped out of the urban music arena and onto the stage. Toni Braxton and Michelle Williams recently took turns in “Aida,” and Angie Stone starred in “Chicago” as Matron “Mama” Morton, the same role Queen Latifah played in the film version.
