From Times Wire Reports

The British judge who has presided over Slobodan Milosevic’s war crimes trial in The Hague for two years will resign for health reasons, the U.N. said, risking further delays in the ex-Yugoslav president’s case.

Richard May, 65, will leave the three-judge panel May 31 because of an unspecified condition. That timing coincides with the scheduled start of Milosevic’s defense. U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan will appoint May’s successor.
