Libyan Foreign Minister Mohammed Abderrahmane Chalgam said the U.S. decision to ease sanctions on the North African country was “a good start” toward normal bilateral ties.

The United States has lifted the travel ban on Libya, allowed U.S. firms to negotiate returning and let Tripoli establish a diplomatic presence in Washington.
