Re “Keep Your Tired, Poor Stereotypes,” Commentary, Feb. 24: Apparently Stanley Karnow finds nothing wrong in having an extra 30 million people living here. Whenever I hear someone yammering on about all of the supposed benefits of an overly generous immigration policy, I want to ask them: Where do you think we should stop? According to the Census Bureau, our population could reach half a billion in less than 50 years and 1 billion by 2100 at our present growth rate. Enough is enough! It’s time for a moratorium on all immigration.
