Intel Introduces ‘Entertainment PC’

Share

Intel Corp. showed off what it hopes will be the next big thing in home entertainment: an $800 PC with no mouse, keyboard or monitor.

The “entertainment PC,” expected later this year, would be an extension of the Media Center personal computer, which records and saves television broadcasts, receives FM radio and manages digital photo, music and video files.

The entertainment PC adds high-definition TV recording, built-in wireless Internet connections and software to manage computer games and play them through a remote control, not a keyboard.
