Economic Forum Loosens Up -- Knot!

In an attempt to make the World Economic Forum less stuffy, organizers told the movers and shakers in attendance to lose their neckties.

A large poster at the entrance to the Congress Center in Davos, Switzerland, showed a circled necktie with a slash through it.

The threat of a fine of $4 -- to be donated to the U.N. Children’s Fund -- prompted many men to remove their ties right away.

But some wouldn’t alter their standard attire, including British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.
