An Arizona man pleaded guilty Friday to selling 26 weapons, including machine guns and pistols with obliterated serial numbers, to an undercover FBI informant. Charles Tappe, 57, could face 20 years in prison when sentenced April 29 in U.S. District Court.

Evidence against Tappe was gathered while authorities were investigating possible bribery of San Diego City Council members by the owner and employees of Cheetah’s, a San Diego strip club. Tappe sold guns to a Cheetah’s manager, according to court documents. The manager, John D’Intino, has pleaded guilty to gun charges.
