A winner of 10 of 40 races, Chicks Charger Easy will make his first start of 2004 in tonight’s $26,650 Moonshiner Handicap at 870 yards.

Trained by John Cooper for owner Frank Wieland, the 6-year-old gelded son of Chicks Beduino hasn’t raced since winning the Sam Houston locally Nov. 1. However, he has run well after a layoff before. He won at tonight’s distance on May 17 after nearly three months off. Gary Boag will ride the 124-pound high-weight.

From the inside out, the rest of the field includes Coded Signature, My Son Jeremy, Danzhound, Azure Classic Dash and Bac To Streak.
