Chechen Policeman Killed by Car Bomb
From Times Wire Reports
A senior Chechen police officer in an organized-crime task force was killed by a car bomb, a year after his son was shot to death in front of fellow students, officials said.
Yaragi Nikayev, an investigator with a unit that battles organized crime in Chechnya and surrounding regions, died when his car exploded after he tried to start it, the Interfax news agency reported. Nikayev’s wife, who had come out of their home to see him off, was injured in the morning blast in the Chechen capital, Grozny.
