Cisco, Huawei Settle Router Patent Suit

Cisco Systems Inc., the world’s largest maker of equipment to link computers, agreed to end a patent lawsuit against Chinese competitor Huawei Technologies Co. over data-traffic switches and routers.

Terms weren’t disclosed in filings in U.S. District Court in Marshall, Texas. Huawei had agreed to stop selling some products and to alter other designs. Huawei, through a joint venture with 3Com Corp., sells less expensive products and has nabbed customers in Asia from San Jose-based Cisco.

Shares of Cisco fell 21 cents to $20.50 on Nasdaq. 3Com rose 1 cents to $4.94.
