Child Kills Schoolmate, Then Returns to Class
From Times Wire Reports
An 11-year-old girl in the Japanese city of Sasebo led a fellow sixth-grader to an empty classroom during their school lunch hour, slit her throat and slashed her arms with a box cutter, then left her to bleed to death.
The body of Satomi Mitarai, 12, was found by a teacher after the girl who attacked her returned to class still wearing bloody clothes. The teacher called police.
Police said the attacker confessed. Media reports said the children might have had a disagreement in an e-mail exchange.
