Anti-Semitic Illustration

Re Susan Tibbles’ illustration [incorporating a tag that reads “Israel” in the word “Nazi”], Commentary, May 28:

Israel has been handed the relentless task of protecting its citizens, Arab, Christian and Jew alike, from the barbaric Islamist terror culture of its neighbors. To compare Israel’s legitimate and necessary protective measures to the acts of the Nazis, who wished death to every Jew, is unforgivable. This visual, though followed by a commentary decrying such use of language, screams out with its shocking accusation. Publishing it puts The Times squarely in the shameful category: anti-Semitic.
