Intel Says Sales May Meet Highest Estimates

Intel Corp., the world’s largest maker of semiconductors, said sales might meet its highest estimates this quarter on demand for flash-memory chips used in mobile phones.

Second-quarter revenue will rise to $8 billion to $8.2 billion, the Santa Clara, Calif., company said. Intel in April forecast a range of $7.6 billion to $8.2 billion.
