Court Lightens Up on Tinted Windows Law

From Times Wire Reports

The Georgia Supreme Court tossed out a state law that forbids heavily tinted car windows because the law applies only to state residents and not drivers who reside elsewhere.

In a unanimous opinion in Atlanta, the court ruled that there was no valid reason for the Legislature to draw a distinction between residents and nonresidents when applying the tinted windows law. It cited other states where tinting laws “apply to all persons without regard to residence.”
