2 U.S. Soldiers Killed in Ambush

BAGHDAD —
Two U.S. soldiers were killed and one was wounded Tuesday when their convoy came under fire in the Iraqi town of Balad, north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said.
Military officials also announced Tuesday that one soldier was killed and six soldiers and a contract worker were wounded in a mortar attack Monday in Baghdad.
The victims’ names were not released because relatives had not been notified. Since the start of the war, 840 U.S. service members have been killed.
