Hong Kong’s Richest Woman Loses in Court
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
A court rejected an appeal from Hong Kong’s richest woman, who lost her husband’s estate in a legal battle.
A trial judge found that Nina Wang, chairwoman of property giant Chinachem, had presented a fake will.
Wang’s husband, Teddy Wang, was abducted 14 years ago and was never seen again. The appellate court upheld a ruling giving the estate to her father-in-law, Wang Din-shin, who stands to receive about $130 million.
