Inspiring values

I question the Al Martinez theology that says “you get to heaven not by demeaning but by inspiring” (“What Would Jesus Do? Lots of Folks Think They Know,” March 1). His entire column demeans everyone from Ronald Reagan to Mel Gibson and the entire Republican Party, with no apparent attempt to inspire anything but hatred and disdain. I, for one, am thankful that we have a president with moral values, the true essence of inspiration.
