George May Go on Injured List

Share

Devean George, Brian Cook and Bryon Russell are among those Lakers being considered for the injured list when forward Karl Malone comes off the list, expected to be today.

George, who has had knee and ankle pain and was benched Wednesday night against Boston for failing to control his emotions after a late non-call, could be the front-runner. George apparently was in no better spirits during Thursday’s practice, and Jackson said some time off would do George good.

Malone has sat out the last 39 games since tearing a ligament in his right knee.
