11 Christians Killed in Revenge Attacks
From Times Wire Reports
Rioting Nigerian Muslims killed at least 11 Christians and set two churches ablaze in the city of Kano in reprisal for the slaying of hundreds of Muslims in the town of Yelwa last week.
President Olusegun Obasanjo called on Muslim leaders to avoid further bloodshed.
The violence flared in at least two parts of Nigeria’s second-largest city after a protest march by thousands of Muslims demanding a clampdown on Christian militants responsible for last week’s massacre.
