Boy Accused of Trying to Smuggle 2 Across Border
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
A 15-year-old high school student was arrested and accused of attempting to smuggle two illegal immigrants across the border, but no charges will be filed, U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman Vince Bond said.
The juvenile is a Mexican national who crossed the border to attend a private school in Calexico.
The teenager was stopped by inspectors while trying to drive through the port of entry Wednesday. Two adult illegal immigrants were found in his vehicle and were taken back to Mexicali, officials said.
