From Times Wire Reports

Ugandan rebels attacked a refugee camp, killing 41 people, abducting others and leaving 7,000 homeless by burning down huts, a U.N. agency reported. The violence was attributed to the Lord’s Resistance Army.

The U.N. office of humanitarian affairs said it had received “credible reports” of the slaughter that took place Thursday in the Lukodi camp near Gulu in northern Uganda. About 1.5 million people have fled the fighting between government troops and the rebels, and many live in 60 squalid camps in the north.
