Injury Could Force Ferrero Out
French Open men’s defending champion Juan Carlos Ferrero isn’t certain whether he will play here.
The Spaniard, still suffering from sore ribs after a tumble, said he will determine today after practice whether he will be ready for his opener against Tommy Haas of Germany and assessed his chances of playing as less than 50-50.
“Yeah, nothing is going right,” Ferrero said. “Last year, I play unbelievable tennis the whole year. This year is pretty different.... If I don’t play, of course, I will feel very sad. It’s not the right time for me.”
