20 Suspected Taliban Killed as U.S. Aids Battle

U.S. warplanes helped Afghan forces pound Taliban militants in the mountains of southern Afghanistan, killing about 20 suspected insurgents at a recently discovered camp, provincial military commander Khan Mohammed said.
The three-hour battle in Arghestan district of Kandahar province, about 250 miles southwest of the capital, Kabul, also left three of his soldiers wounded, he said.
