Jury to Be Seated in Peterson Murder Trial

Jury selection in Scott Peterson’s double-murder trial wraps up this week after whittling the pool of potentials from nearly 1,600 summoned to court.
Twelve jurors and six alternates are expected to be seated today, nine weeks after the process began.
The arduous process delayed opening statements -- now set for Tuesday -- as many potential panelists were dismissed for various reasons, including work hardships or opinions that the former fertilizer salesman accused of killing his pregnant wife is guilty.
