Two former vice presidents at Computer Associates International Inc. agreed to pay fines to regulators and return bonuses they received for their part in a $2.2-billion accounting fraud at the Islandia, N.Y.-based company.

David Kaplan will repay $128,770 in so-called ill-gotten gains and a $100,000 fine, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. David Rivard will disgorge $83,700 and pay a $75,000 penalty.

Both men are barred from serving as officers of public companies.

Kaplan and Rivard are among 15 Computer Associates executives, including former Chief Executive Sanjay Kumar, indicted or fired in a two-year probe of alleged backdating of contracts.
